Strengthening Math Resources Through Educator Feedback

We are excited to share a nationwide survey to gather insights from educators and education staff on what makes instructional materials and related resources high-quality, including AI-enabled tools.
Your input is essential and will help us and other organizations better support you and educators nationwide.
In appreciation of your time, we are offering a $20 Giftogram to 25 random participants.
Thank you for your participation; your input will benefit educators across the country!
NCSM will remain committed to listening to the needs of our membership and mathematics education community at large, and welcome your feedback and insight.

All of Us are Greater than Any of Us
In this episode, hosts Karen Riley Jeffers and Abel Maestas welcome Joanna Burt-Kinderman, a math teacher and teacher of math teachers for over twenty-five years. She is a project lead and developer of Mountaineer Mathematics Master Teachers (M3T), a network improvement community of teacher-leaders across West Virginia which grows from her ongoing district math coaching work for Pocahontas County Schools in West Virginia.
Joanna was named a “Leader to Learn From” for 2019 by the editorial board of Education Week, helped plan NCTM’s Centennial Conference and served on the Member and Affiliate Relations Committee for NCTM (2019-2022). She lives in the house she grew up in with her husband, two girls and dog Theo. In her spare time, she plays upright bass and loves her bluegrass, old time and rock n roll bands in equal measure. In the episode Joanna and her colleagues Jami Packer and Brittney Baisden share candidly about what it means for teachers to belong. You won’t want to miss this great discussion, so make sure to listen when the episode is released on the 11th of April!
